The PD200 is a complete impulse current measuring system designed to detect grounded leaks in non-conducting sealing systems such as bitumen, elastomer, PE-HD and other plastic sheets. The system administers voltage to the test foil. A circular circuit is implemented, with the negative pole positioned on the sealing surface and a grounding cable with the positive pole affixed to the underside of the corresponding sealing layer.
Conductive surface moisture acts as a conduit for the electric current, delivered through the pulse generator. The direction of this current flow is detected using measuring rods, revealing the pathway to the leakage point on the pulse receiver. When employing the PD200, the condition of the sealing – whether covered in gravel or vegetation – is inconsequential. The sole requirement is to ensure ample saturation of the sealing sheet.
The PD200 system comes standard in a practical transport case containing pulse generator, pulse receiver, two measuring rods, connecting cable, 200m of loop wiring, 25m earth cable extension and more.
