As cities get more populated, the need for well-ventilated apartments and homes has never been greater. Now there’s a compact device that is bringing efficient, powerful technology to Danish homes in a much smaller package.

What makes the RCV 320 different to other residential ventilation units?

In isolation, the technology used in the RCV 320 already exists across various products. But never has it been formulated in a way where such a compact unit can deliver such a versatile offering for houses, villas and apartments. Other units that are this flexible are simply not as compact.

Here we will explore 6 features that set it apart…

#1 Third-party testing

The ErP (Energy-related Products Directive) is a mandatory requirement for manufacturers of ventilation and air-conditioning products. Our units have high-efficiency heat recovery and a built-in pre-heater.

Our unit will soon be listed in the Nordic Swan database for products suitable for eco-labelled buildings, meaning it meets strict environmental requirements in terms of chemicals, energy and resources used. Additional third party certificates and listings will be added over time.

#2 Compact design

Traditionally, ventilation units have been quite large and not necessarily suitable for smaller homes and apartments. A typical unit is around 1050mm and can take up a significant amount of space. The RCV 320 is about to change everything.

Sitting at just 600mm wide and with its patent-pending technology and ingenious design, the RCV 320 is a highly efficient and incredibly compact residential ventilation unit suitable for houses, villas and apartments.

#3 48 ducting combinations

Unlike other products on the market, the RCV offers 48 ways of connecting ducting. This means existing ducting doesn’t have to be redone and can be easily installed. One unit has a left set-up and a right set-up each providing 24 combinations.

This gives complete flexibility for a fast, cost-efficient installation, even in tricky and confined spaces. You can even connect the supply duct to the bottom of the unit if the ducts are to run beneath the floor.

#4 A plug and play solution

The RCV comes with everything needed for on-site wall installation and can easily fit alongside other technical equipment in cupboards. It is easy to install and comes with a built-in control panel to allow for easy set-up. This can be complemented by using the complimentary Dantherm Residential app for iOS and Android available for download here.

In addition to that, Dantherm’s PC Tool for professionals can be used by installers to make sure all unit settings are just right for each individual installation.

#5 Intelligent technology

This unit has a wide-ranging of standard and customisable features.

An exceptional demand-controlled ventilation system that boasts an integrated humidity sensor, these units reduce power consumption when low ventilation is needed. They also have automatic free-cooling features that increase airflow when needed, and let in cool night air following hot days to keep rooms at a comfortable temperature.

Additionally, a summer mode stops the supply fan and brings in cooler outside air from an open window to naturally lower the room temperature, saving energy and money. Fireplace mode creates a temporary indoor overpressure to enhance chimney functionality, to comply with both ventilation and building airtightness recommendations.

#6 Ease of handling and transportation

The RCV units are packaged with 4 units on a pallet at a time to ease work at building sites. In addition to speeding up your installation work, it also reduces the amount of packing materials.

Where is the RCV 320 available?

The unit is available for sale globally, but is currently pending certain third-party tests and certificates that may be required locally. These will be added over time. Feel free to contact us using the below form for information specific to your region.

How did the RCV 320 get created?

There has been a significant demand for a product like this for some time. While there are products available on the market that combine a few of the RCV 320’s features, this product is the first-of-its-kind for size, functionality and flexibility.

Dantherm’s Research & Development team, sales team and technical team all came together to create this product. The demand and need were there, and using a collaborative approach they were able to create a unique and powerful product.
